How to easily Install Linux Mint 8 Helena to USB Flash Drive using Windows. In the following tutorial, we explain how to use Windows and our third party Universal USB Installer to create your own Portable Linux Mint 8 USB Flash Drive. Linux Mint 8 Helena is maintained by Clement Lefebvre and is based on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. How to Create a Linux Mint 8 USB Flash Drive:
- Download the torrent and then download the LinuxMint-8.ISO using your favorite torrent client
- Download and run Universal USB Installer, select Linux Mint 8 and follow the onscreen instructions
- Reboot your PC and set your system BIOS or Boot Menu to boot from the USB device, save your changes and reboot booting from the USB memory stick
Upon reboot, you should have a successful launch of your very own USB Linux Mint (Portable Linux Mint 8) from your flash memory stick.
