Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn has arrived
Canonical Ltd announced the official release of Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn this morning. It's considered a secure and feature rich alternative to Windows. Including the Linux 2.6.20 kernel and the GNOME 2.18 desktop environment. Some feature highlites of the Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn Linux desktop edition are as follows:
- Windows migration assistant tool that enables Ubuntu to import bookmarks, favorites, wallpaper, AOL IM and Yahoo IM contacts and more during installation.
- A new guided easy to use multimedia wizard to simplify the addition of new media codecs.
- Plug and play wireless networking support to allow users to automatically join wireless networks with ease.
- Improvements for thin clients including advanced sound support from PulseAudio sound server and Jetpipe printing architecture.
