Create a Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition USB  Installer from Windows: The following process covers one way to put Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition Installer (32bit or 64bit) on a USB Flash Drive using a Windows PC and our third party Universal USB Installer to create the drive.  Upon completion, you can use your Flash Drive to install Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition on a computer that can boot from a USB device. Very useful if your PC does not have a CD/DVD Drive.

Essentials to put Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition Installer on USB

  • Windows PC to perform conversion
  • ubuntu-9.10-server-i386.iso or the amd 64 iso
  • 1GB or larger USB flash drive (fat32 formatted)
  • Universal USB Installer

How to Create a Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition USB Flash Drive Installer

  1. Download the 64 bit or 32 bit Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition.iso
  2. Download and launch our Universal USB Installer, select Ubuntu Server 9.10 Installer and  follow the onscreen instructions
  3. Once the script has finished, restart your PC and set your BIOS or Boot Menu to boot from the USB device, save your changes and reboot

If all goes well, you should be booting your Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition Installer from USB
